Since this workshop is at an intermediate level, we require the participants to already have basic knowledge and experience in image processing, analysis and working with the Imaris software package. If you are not sure about the prerequisites, please contact the MIAP workshop organizers.
The workshop covers various topics in general image analysis and combines them with specific functionality of the Imaris software package. Topics covered are: Object detection, statistics, co-localization, analysis of cellular components, stitching, 3rd party extensions (Matlab, ImageJ) and visualization. In addition, the workshop offers dedicated time-slots for interactive discussions, Q&A sessions and hands-on session for every major topic of the agenda. Participants also have the chance to get in contact with experts from Bitplane AG to discuss their image processing, analysis and visualization needs to come up with the best solution for their research projects.
In addition the workshop offers multiple opportunities for networking and discussing your image analysis strategies with colleagues from the field.
This workshop is equally suited for undergraduate students as well as Ph.D. students, postdocs, staff scientists and technicians.
The registration fee of 50 € covers lunch (finger food), refreshments and coffee & tea with some snacks and sweets for all days of the workshop.
